Hi I'm Jared

I grew up in the west from Californian, Utah, Las Vegas, Idaho, & Washington. I love to play basketball, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Like I said before I've grown up in the West of the US. I come from a very active family. One of my brothers plays football as a true freshman for the University of Hawaii. I like to play any sport but I love to play basketball. I also like to just relax and watch a good movie every now and then. I like action packed movies like the "Bourne" series, and sports movies like "Remember the Titans", and some good TV Series like "The Cosby Show", "Monk", and "Psyche". When I have time I also like to draw some pictures and I would like to hang up on the wall of my home. I finished High School in Las Vegas, going to Silverado High School. After High School I went on to serve a mission for the LDS church in Tacoma, Washington. I spent time in Tumwater, Aberdeen, Tacoma, Silverdale, and Bremerton. I have met many great people from those cities and know that there are many more great people who live there. Right now I'm going to school at BYU-Idaho in Rexburg, Idaho. I'm majoring in Exercise Physiology, and minoring in Chemistry. I eventually want to go to P.A. school and become a P.A. I was married to my wife in April of 2011, and in April of 2012 we are expection our first child. We are both very excited. I come from a big family, I have 6 sisters and 4 brothers. It was great to glow up as apart of a large family.

Why I am a Mormon

I've been attending the LDS church ever since I was born in California. But it was through out my High School years that I come to know that this believe and gospel were true. I don't have one moment that made me believe it, but little moments through out my life have built off of each other. My parents kept on telling them that they know it was true and that they weren't going to force me to believe what they believe but that it needed to be my choice. So I decided that I needed to know for myself if this Gospel was true or not. Not just from what people told me, but have my own believe. So I wanted to know for about the history and what the church was all about. As I look back at it, I see how being apart of the church and gospel has blessed my family so much had made me believe that these blessings have got to have come from somewhere, things just don't happen just because. After first believing that there was a God and that he loved me I knew that he would not guide me to darkness, but would guide me to what was best for me and what He wanted me to do. After reading the Book of Mormon and doing my best to study what it was teaching at a high school student I knelt down to pray to my Heavenly Father and ask him if this book was true. After felling peace and comfort I know that the Book of Mormon was true and that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day saints was God's church and guided by a living Prophet today. Knowing that there is a Prophet on the earth today that will guide us so that we will know what we need to be doing. I'm a Mormon because I know that God loves us just as much as he did in the New and Old Testament times to call a prophet today and just like in the Bible.

How I live my faith

I live as normal people do. I have a family and I'm going to school. I live my faith by living as Christ like as I can. I like to help people when they need help. Right now I help people more in and out of the area if they need help. I spent two years in Washington as a full-time missionary. I taught people what I believe and gave them the choice to believe it or not. I go to church every week and I read the scriptures and pray everyday. There are days that it gets really busy and I forget to read but I do my best to read and study the scriptures. I have faith that God is watching over me and is interested is what I'm doing with my life. So I go to him for guidance, if what I'm doing is the right thing to do or not. I'm been sealed in the LDS temple for time and all eternity. I do my best to keep the commandments that God has sent forth for me to keep. I'm not perfect, so when I mess up I repent and do my best to not do it again.
