Hi I'm Doyle

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was raised on the small cattle ranch in Northeastern Utah. I had a wonderful childhood growing up on the ranch, learning to care for the animals, operate machinery, train horses, and hunt. I had the previledge of working with my father everyday. My twin brother and I were baptised into The Chruch of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saint when we were 12 years old. I learned about the Church by attending the weekly children's classes held weekly at the church. I served as a missionary for the Church in the Central German Mission after completing my freshman year of college. I learned to speak fluent German, but most of all I came to know the Jesus Christ lives and that he loves me and I came to love the Holy Scriptures, especially the Book of Mormon. After completing my mission, I earned a bachelors and master's degree in Economics at Utah State University. I married just as I was being recruited to work for Gulf Oil Corporation in Texas as a petroleum landman. I have enjoyed my landman profession for over 37 years. In the mean time we have raised 5 children and now have 9 grandchildren. All during these years we have served in the Church. I partcularly enjoyed serving as Scout Master and youth leader. Our 3 sons earned the Eagle rank. Later I served as the Bishop or leader of our local Church. Now we serve in the Temple assisting those who come there to worship.

Why I am a Mormon

I learned about the Church in my youth. My twin brother and I desired to be bapized and were just after turning 12 years old. I read the entire Book of Mormon for the first when I as 14 years old. I felt the spiritual confirmation with certainty that the Book of Mormon was indeed true and that Josepth Smith was indeed a true prophet. I have studied the Bible and Book of Mormon all of my adult life. One cannot believe one without believing the other. I am struck with the completness of the teachings and doctrines of the Church. I have experienced frequent and consistent confirmations of the truefullness of the Church and its devine doctrines - I have no doubt. From my studies, prayers and exerience, I have come to an understanding of the Lord's great plan of happiness and plan of salvation.

How I live my faith

I have the priveledge of performing marriages in the Holy Temple and also perform the ordinances where families are sealed together forever. This is a very sacred trust. I am also called to bless the members of the Church in this area with personal, prophetic blessings that will help the recipent live a faithful life.
