Hi I'm Cindy

I'm a wife, mother and grandmother. I was born in Utah and now live in Arizona. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and daughter. I have been blessed to be a stay at home Mom all our married life. I was able to home school our children. My husband was in the military and we have lived in Texas, Washington, Kansas, Belgium, Pennsylvania, and Massachusetts during his career. I love to read and do counted cross stitch. I do a lot of scrap booking, both paper and digital. I enjoy making greeting cards. I like to cook and try to make delicious and nutritious meals. My favorite thing to do is spend time with my grand kids.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in Utah, but my family was not active in the Church. When I was about 10, my two friends invited me to go to Primary with them. I loved learning about the scriptures and feeling the Spirit there. I could feel the Spirit in their homes that was so different from mine. I attended Church off and on for several years. It was sometimes difficult when my family planned other activities. When I was 15, I was snowmobiling with my Dad's family on General Conference Sunday. I was following my cousin when I crashed. I broke my nose and cut my leg. On the way to the hospital I remember the radio being on and hearing conference. I promised myself right then that I would be in Church on Sundays. I have kept that promise except when ill. Later when I was grown, I was asked to teach early morning seminary. The course of study was The New Testament. I wanted to be able to bear a strong testimony of the truthfulness of that scripture and of the reality of Jesus Christ. I read and prayed fervently to receive a stronger witness of the truth. The Lord granted my request and I had a witness through the Spirit that was unmistakable. I know the Savior lives. I know that this is His Church. I know that obedience to His teachings and serving others is the only way to find true happiness in this life. I know that through the blessing of Temple Covenants we can live with our families for eternity. I am so thankful for Jesus Christ. That he would take upon Himself the punishments for our sins is almost beyond my comprehension. I am so thankful for that amazing blessing.

How I live my faith

Right now, I am a teacher for the youngest children - those 18 months to 3 years old. It is wonderful to teach them the basic truths of the gospel. I am also called as a visiting teacher. It is a blessing to visit other women and discuss gospel principles and become friends and sisters in Christ. The most important way I live my faith is by studying the scriptures each day and trying to live as a good example. I try to help my children and grandchildren know of the truth and how they can get answers to their prayers. I try to show my joy at having the true gospel to everyone around me.
