Hi I'm Cassy

I play basketball. I play the harp, violin, and piano. I love to go camping and ride quads. I am a Mormon.

About Me

Hi my name is Cassy. I love to play basketball for the highschool that I go to. For me, it is how I relieve my stress from everyday struggles problems that I have at school. I take several advanced classes that in school that keep me always thinking and constantly doing homework. I participate in the Orchestra program at my school. I play the violin and the harp. I have been playing the violin for about 7 years and the harp for about 5 years. I love playing each of these instruments because I can share my talent with everybody around me and they like it. It also gives me something to do when I am bored. I participate in a harp ensemble which is a bunch of harp players that get together and play their harps just like a orchestra would only with harps. I am not much of a singer but I love watching T.V. shows that have to do with people singing such as the Singoff, American Idol, and Don't Forget the Lyrics. I alos love any clean cheesy chick filck movie that you can find. Some of my favorites are Pure Country, The Prince and Me, Raising Helen, and Another Cinderella story. Not only do I like chick flicks but I also like action packed movies such as The Borne Identity, and Forever Strong. I am a student, I am a basketball player, I am a harpist and violinist, and I am a mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a strong Mormon family and I was raised in the Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Being born into a family that are strong members, I as a teenager had to find if the church was true. I prayed and asked Heavenly Father if the Church was true and if the Book of Mormon was true and ofcourse it was not answered immediately. I went to church one Sunday like I always do and I was sitting in Sunday school. My teacher was teaching me on how to gain a testimony to see of the church was true. She gave us some steps on how a person, when they are ready to seek for their testimony gain find if the Church is true. I looked at the list and had done everything that was on it. Right then the Spirit, a feeling undeniable, soft, and fuzzy, testified to me that the church was true and that I was doing the right thing. Ever since then I have tried my hardest to do what I was asked to do by my Heavenly Father. I continually try to seek for guidance in my life and keep his commandments. A lot of other teenagers that I hang around with think that it would be hard to be a Mormon, because their are so many rules, but I have seen that all of God's commandments and rules help me become a better person, and make my troubles and stuggles in everyday life so much easier. I am able to deal with problems rationally and in the best way possible. I am able to get good grades in school and stay healthy. I am made a better person through Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I am constantly trying my hardest to live the gospel principles in the Church of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints. There are several thing that I do during the week to keep me on the right track. Everyday when I go to school one of my classes is Seminary. Seminary is an hour of your day in which you go and a teacher teaches you about the gospel. In this class, we memorize some verses in the scriptures, play games, eat food, and have a fun and entertaining lesson about the gospel. This class keeps my focus on Christ everyday. Every Wednesday I attend what we call mutual. This is an activity just for the Youth that you attend church with. The Youth and their leaders get together and play games and learn different skills that will help us in our future life or in our life now. Each game must have a gospel principle attached to it but it is still fun. One of the activities that we did was human battleship. In order for us to hit a person on the other side with a water ballon we had to and a question related to the scriptures. It was fun because we were able to have fun and have a lesson all at the same time. Everyday at school I am living the gospel. Our church encourages us to obtain an education. In school I take advance classes in order to challenge myself and gain and education. Our church also encourages us to stay healthy and fit. I play basketball on the girls basketball team at my highschool. I am able to stay fit and do a sport that I love all at the same time. Also through out the day I try my hardest to do what is right. i help other kids with homework that they are having a problem with, I do not cuss but speak politely and try to encourage people to do the right thing,

What do Mormons believe about family?

Cassy
Marriage is between a man and a woman. When a man and woman are married in the temple they are not just married for this life but for the life to come or after we die. The children that they have will also be with them in this life and in the life to come. If a loved one dies a they can be seen again in the life here after. Families are eternal. The familiy that you live with now will continue to be with you in the eternities if the man and women are married in the temple and make a promise with the Lord that they would like to be together forever even after death.
