Hi I'm Scott

I am a husband, father, grandfather, retired school teacher, and farmer, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a small Mormon community. I have four older brothers and one younger sister. I graduated from college and taught school for 31 years. I have been married for nearly 38 years. My wife and I have two grown children and one granddaughter. I like sports. I participated in football, basketball, baseball, and track in school and coached those sports while I was teaching. Basketball is my favorite. I still enjoy watching high school, college, and professional sports. I served as a Mormon missionary forty years ago.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents and grandparents were members of the church so I have been a member all of my life. My life has been very blessed and I believe it is because of my trying my best to follow the teachings of the church. I have had many experiences in my life where I have been guided by the spirit of the Holy Ghost, including being kept safe from harm and danger. These experiences are a testimony to me of the truthfulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I know He is the Savior and Redeemer of the world and that we are all children of a loving Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

I try my best to keep the commandments of our Father in Heaven, but I'm certainly not perfect. I try to attend church each Sunday and to fulfill the assignments given me by my church leaders. I believe I should be the same everyday of the week, at home, at my job, or where ever I am and not just on Sunday at church. I try to obey the laws of the land and to be a good citizen and neighbor. I try to help people as much as I can when they need assistance. I try to follow Jesus Christ and to be a good Christian.
