Hi I'm Sonja Foster

I am from Arizona. I was born and raised in the Mormon church.

About Me

I have been married to the same man for 29 years. We have three grown children who live on their own. I have three grandchildren too. I enjoy horseback riding and have two horses of my own. My husband enjoys sprint car racing and has raced them for 30 years.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I choose to be. In my first years of being a mother I wanted to know if this church was true. I was raised in it my whole life and lived its teachings but I really started to question if this was the true church that I heard was my whole adolecent life. I decided to read the Book of Mormon and challenge the book for its truth. I never liked reading and for some reason couldn't stop reading this book. WIthin three months I had read this book! I found that as I was reading this book it was speaking to my heart and mind. The questions that I had were being answered. When I read the part of Moroni testifying of this book and the church I knew by then it was the truth that I had been looking for. I didn't need my parents or friends to help me figure it out. Between my desire to find the truth, prayer and reading this book it all came together in a confirmation of its truth.

How I live my faith

I have had many callings in this church. I have led the music in the primary. I have been able to teach 8 - 9 year old girls how to paint, swim, make corsages for their mothers for moms day and I have been a cubmaster for cub scouts for eight years. I now lead the music in our sacrament meetings.
