Hi I'm Kayleigh

I'm a health nut. I'm a sorority girl. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm originally from California but have been in Texas since 5th grade. I spent most of my life as an athlete, participating in everything from gymnastics to volleyball but focusing on pole-vault for most of high school. Being an athlete got me interested in nutrition and health in general, which has led me on the track to becoming a nutrition-specialized pediatrician. In high school I also spent a year living in France. I absolutely love traveling and I hope to spend at least another year abroad while in college.

Why I am a Mormon

I was originally introduced to the church by my first college boyfriend. As a favor to him I decided I'd try it out. My first visit brought about endless questions so I just started asking my boyfriend. After a few weeks I found myself excited for him to invite me to church each week and eager to learn more. We started reading the Book of Mormon together, and after getting the app for my cellphone, I read alone as well. Eventually I decided to take the discussions with the missionaries, which helped me learn so much more. The amazing thing was that despite my continuous questions there was always an answer, and they always made sense. After twice visiting the San Antonio temple the spirit bore witness that the things I was learning were true. I gained a testimony of my own and decided to be baptized later that month.

How I live my faith

I've recently become a local part-time missionary. I get to help potential members and new members as they explore the church. I attend a local congregation each Sunday to participate in our sacrament meeting, Sunday school, and a meeting with all the other women. My congregation is all young single adults so on Mondays we all get together for family home evening. We come together to support each other as a family, share a lesson, play a game, and have a sweet treat.
