Hi I'm Jennifer

I'm a wife. I'm a mother of three. I'm passionate about children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of three children. Two boys and one girl. I adore them and enjoy just about every minute with them. I have been married for 17 years to my best friend. He is my rock and we do a wonderful job of balancing each other out. I love my family. I am very fortunate to live close to my siblings, their families and my parents. We are a very close knit family. I have been a stay at home mom until two years ago when I started substitute teaching. I have my Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education. I taught first grade for five years before having my first child. I love children! Especially third grade and below. I enjoy being with them on the days that I teach and every Sunday. There is something about their sweet innocence and their desire to please. I look at them and see such possibilities. I enjoy running and any form of exercise. I spend what downtime I have reading. You'll find me on the couch with a good book before you would see me watching TV!

Why I am a Mormon

My family became members when I was about 5 years old. We attended church and all of the callings and activities that come along with membership until I was about 14. Although we stopped going to church and became inactive my grandparents were still active and I continued to have exposure to His gospel. After I was married for 2 years my husband and I decided to start attending church. He was baptized but not long after we stopped going. We were both working and in school full time. We felt like our plates were full and we did not have a strong enough testimony to rely upon the Lord to help us through. When my grandparents moved near us I would attend with them to help my grandmother. When they moved away I stopped going again. My younger brother was killed in a car accident 7 years ago. I knew about 10 minutes after I was told that I would not survive the despair and grief without my Heavenly Father and the knowledge of His gospel. He helped to carry me through that horrible time and has continued to do so ever since. I am so grateful for His gospel and for the knowledge of eternal families and the plan of salvation. I have a very strong testimony of His church. I have read The Book of Mormon several times and have prayed to know if it was true. I have had a postive answer each time. I know that we have a prophet on this earth today. I am so grateful for President Thomas S. Monson. I am so grateful to live in a time when we have the fullness of the gospel, when we can know what our Heavenly Father expects of us and when we can gain counsel from Him through our prophet and church leaders. I am so thankful to know where I came from, why I am here and where I am going. I love Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I am so grateful to know about His gospel and to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I have lived my life with His gospel and without. I am happier and more at peace when I attend His church and strive to live His gospel.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to be like the Savior. I try to live my life by following His example. I find joy in serving others and doing what I can to make others happy. I have a great passion for children and love being with them at church. I am with them every Sunday as they learn about His gospel. I enjoy visiting with three women from church every month. My friend and I visit the same women, check in with them to see how they are doing and leave them with an inspirational message. I love this particular opportunity to serve these women and to do what Heavenly Father has asked me to do.
