Hi I'm Jim
I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
I'm making a dash towards my golden years of life. I enjoy reading all sorts of books and have been referred to by some as a computer geek. When did my geekdome start? Let's say I was writing basic programs on IBM cards with a number 2 pencil. I am also interested in politics as a arm chair commentator. I know it's not a popular subject with young people but we are voting on their future. I want to make it better.
Why I am a Mormon
I converted over 10 years ago. Being raised in the Catholic church and fancied the thought of being a priest as a young boy. At 18 I broke away from the church and explored various religions in search for spiritual enlightenment. I studied the Bible extensively. Exploring conservative religions to charismatic with little luck. During my exploration the LDS Missionaries were the ones I listened to least. So I wandered many years. And then one day a gal at worked asked me if I would be interested in the discussions. I agreed to sit and listen to hear what they had to say. I was challenged to read the book of Mormon. It changed my life.
How I live my faith
By example. I live the Word of Wisdom and treat others how I would like to be treated. At home, at church, at work.
