Hi I'm Mark

I am a father, an improving down hill skiier, an aspiring cheif, a general dentist at a community health center, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am father of three children. Two boys and a girl. I work at a community health center as a dentist. My patients are usually low income people from diverse backgrounds. I see homeless people, migrant farmworkers, Russian and Ukraininan immigrants, and others. I enjoy downhill skiing in the winter and kayaking in the summer. I enjoy spending time in the outdoors with my wife and children.

Why I am a Mormon

I was very blessed to be born into a great family who is Mormon. I learned the gospel at a young age and gained a knowledge of God and His love for me over time. I have come to see how He has been a guide in my life. I know that God loves me and I know that He has a plan for me and my family. I know that God's plan will bring true happiness to me and my family. I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the Mormon Church), is His church on the earth today. I have come to this knowledge through study and prayer.

How I live my faith

I volunteer on a locaI coalition to improve oral health in the community where I live. I help in our ward by acting as a secretary to the Bishop. I help make agendas for meetings, arrange appointments for the Bishop, and make needed phone calls. I enjoy spending time with my family and try to show them how the gospel can be a blessing in their lives. I have three families in our ward that I visit with my oldest son. We share a gospel message with them and help them in any way we can. My son helped one of these families when vandals threw eggs at their house. He went over, while I was at work, and helped clean off their house. My son and I went and helped cut, split, and stack wood for a family who needed the help. It feels good to help others and it feels even better to know that my family is also learning the joy of serving others.
