Hi I'm Kathy

I grew up in a small farming town in Idaho. I love playing sports. I am a mother of 5 children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of five children and they are the center of my life. I have been married for 21 years to a very kind and wonderful man. I am currently finishing my degree going to college two classes at a time, so I can continue being a full time mom. I love doing activities with my family, like hiking, swimming, and hanging out talking. In my alone time I enjoy exercising. I have never had a desire to run a marathon but have enjoyed running with friends over the years.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a Mormon gives me great peace and comfort. There have been many hard times in our lives and always my Savior has been there for me, comforting me, encouraging me to be better, and giving me strength to carry on. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has become the portal to my Savior. It is where I learned to love and trust my Savior. It is where I learned to pray to my Heavenly Father and truly feel his presence in my life, guiding me and directing me. When I am scared and shaky and uncertain I know I can pray to my Heavenly Father and he will be there to guide me and calm my fears. I have felt his loving arms around me many times through out my life. This gives me great confidence in following my Savior and trying to pattern my life after His perfect life.

How I live my faith

I believe service is what the Master did while on this earth and that we too are to live a life of service. So I have tried to say, "Yes I would love to do that", when asked if I could serve. I have served many of the young women in the church and truly fell in love with them. I found myself praying for them, worrying about them and wanting the best for them. I have also served in the largest women's organization in the world, The Relief Society of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I love this organization that teaches people to love and be like the Savior and to have charity towards all mankind. I have also loved serving the little children. Teaching their classes and seeing their bright eyes wanting to learn more about Jesus Christ. I have also loved serving in my children's school classroom. You learn a lot about your own child and their friends and their teacher by doing so. I am currently helping with my son's Cub Scout pack.
