Hi I'm Adrienne

I'm a Mormon. I grew up near Salt Lake City, Utah and have lived hear all my life. I am a third grade teacher.

About Me

Right now, my life is about teaching. I have been teaching 3rd grade for 4 years now. It is the hardest, most rewarding, exhausting, best job there is. When I am not teaching, I love to travel! I have been to Europe 3 times in my life and had the most amazing experiences! Most of the time, I love to spend time with my friends and family. I am lucky to have great people in my life that I always enjoy being around. I especially enjoy being an aunt. I have 6 nieces and nephews, with 2 more on the on the way!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon simply because I know it is true. My family raised me in the church, so it has always been a part of my life. That is not why I am a Mormon, however. It is a choice that I have made, and that I continue to make. The reason I continue to believe in this church, is because I have prayed many times about it, and I always get a feeling that it is true. It makes me feel good and truly happy when I am living and following the teachings of the gospel. I know that Jesus Christ leads our church through our prophet Thomas S. Monson. It is Christ's church, and I know that if we live the way he wants us to, we can live with him again. That is my favorite thing about the gospel, because of the atonement of Christ, we can repent, be forgiven of our sins, and live with our families forever. Isn't that amazing? I love my family so much and to know that I can live with them forever makes me want to make good choices. I know that being a member of this church is not always easy and sometimes we need to make sacrifices. But when I think about my savior and what he went through in his life, and that he sacrificed everything for me, because he loves me, I am filled with gratitude and a desire to do better every day. I know that Heavenly Father has a plan for me, and each one of us. I don't always know what the plan is, or why he has this particular plan for me, but I try to find out what he wants me to do and to do it. This is when I am most happy. I have always had a testimony of my Savior and his gospel and I know it is true.

How I live my faith

Right now, I get to have the most fun of all when I am in church! As mormons, we are often "called" or asked to fill jobs in our ward or branch in order to help teach and serve all of our felloe members. I think this is a pretty unique feature of our church. Right now, I have the best job of all! I get to play the piano for the young children in our church. They sing songs each week that teach gospel principles and I get to sit back and watch them. They are such a joy to watch and spend time on my Sunday with. Throughout the rest of the week, I try to continue living my faith by studying the scriptures and saying my prayers daily. This is so important to do. We need the presence and guidance of the Lord every day, all the time. Admittedly, I have times in my life when I struggle with this and am not as consistant as I should be. It seems hard to find the time and energy to do all of the things we need need to do. If you are struggling with how to live and find your own faith, pray. Heavenly Father hears your prayers. Even if you don't get an answer right away, he hears you. He loves you and wants to bless you.
