Hi I'm Andrea

I'm a wife, a daughter, a friend, a teacher, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. Although Lake Havasu is considered a party town, I was fortunate to grow up in the Church, which helped me make positive choices for my life. After graduating from high school, I moved to Mesa, Arizona to continue my education. About 3 years into my studies, I decided to serve in the Neuquen, Argentina mission for a year and a half. It was one of the best experiences of my life, and will be forever grateful to the people I met, and for the influence they've had in my life. Upon returning from my mission, I finished my Elementary Education degree at Arizona State University, and three weeks later married my high school sweetheart (whom I've known since eighth grade), in the Mesa, Arizona temple. We currently live in Glendale where he is a music teacher, and I teach third grade.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has helped me to realize that we have a Father in Heaven that loves us. I've been blessed with the peace of knowing that I am not alone. I also have the blessing of knowing that I can have my family with me forever, and that no matter what happens to us in this life, we can be with them in the next life. The Book of Mormon is also another reason why I am a Mormon. This book is another testament of Jesus Christ. This book brings us closer to Him. As Tad R. Callister said, " Together with the Bible, the Book of Mormon is an indispensable witness of the doctrines of Christ and His divinity. Together with the Bible, it 'teach[es] all men that they should do good."'

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be an example to others. I have tried to keep my language clean, have a modest appearance in my clothing, and I don't smoke or drink. I attend church every Sunday, as well as give service inside the church and outside. I try to choose wisely when I listen to music and watch TV and movies. I don't listen or watch anything that has crude language or images. These are just a few ways that I live my faith.
