Hi I'm Carla

I'm a Mormon. I love studying education, religions, and cultures. I've traveled the world and came back home. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Family comes first. I am a mother and a wife. We have three young boys. I also teach college classes online, focusing on education, cultural diversity, and world religions. I dabble with a variety of interests, such as reading, memory keeping, geocaching, travel, nature, etc.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been lucky to travel to many religious sites around the world. As a world religions instructor, I studied and taught about many religions. I respect the goodness in each religion and am impressed with those who follow their religion. In my personal life, my parents taught me about Jesus Christ and how to follow Him as a child. I continued with these beliefs as I set out on international trips on my own. I know and understand the beliefs of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It makes sense to me and feels right. I am a better person and feel good about my life as I follow the teachings of Jesus. The Book of Mormon and the Bible help remind me of the life and teachings of Jesus.

How I live my faith

To me, religion is much more than going to church on Sunday. It is living my beliefs on a daily basis, in the grocery store, at my children's school, and in the walls of my own home. I currently teach a youth Sunday School class. We are studying the New Testament right now, learning about Jesus' time on earth and how his church carried on after his death. I am grateful for His gospel in my life today.
