Hi I'm Rich

I am a father of 7 and a husband to a wonderful wife. I am a firefighter, I'm in the Air Force, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love the outdoors! Hunting, fishing, camping, and 4 wheeling. I love playing hockey and the NHL. I have great pride in my Country. I'm in the Air Force and have served overseas several times, and I will go again. I am a firefighter. I enjoy spending time at home with my family, and sneaking off with my wife for date nights!

Why I am a Mormon

I didn't have any religious guidance as a child. I grew up as an Air Force brat. I formed my own beliefs with logic and by observations of how religion had been used throughout history. I had concluded that there was no God or Supreme Being. I met my wife in high school when both of our Fathers were stationed at the same base. She was born into the church. We talked about religion and my beliefs. She bore her testimony to me one night. She later told me that she was really scared to share her testimony with me because of how I might react. I felt the Spirit so strong when she talked I could no longer deny the presence of a greater power. I began reading both the Bible and the Book of Mormon. I was baptized shortly after we were married. I am grateful that I have the Church in my life. I am so glad that my Wife shared it with me.

How I live my faith

I have been given the opportunity to work with the young men of our ward through the Scouting program. We meet weekly and do everything from learning gospel principles to camp outs. It is a great joy to be able to help shape the upcoming generation. I try to instill a feeling of worth and belonging with each one of the young men.
