Hi I'm Laura

I'm a happily married wife and mother of 7. I create peace in our home. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and mother above all things. I wouldn't trade it for the world. I am married to an incredible man who makes me laugh every day. We have 7 healthy, happy children who keep us busy and smiling. I feel like I am living my dream life. We built a home on an acre+ near many of our friends with many children. There is always a better option than t.v. - forts to be built, plays to create, mud and messes galore. We keep busy with ballgames, concerts, homework, chores, and playtime! We manage charter schools which my husband runs with my full support. I keep up on his daily activities and advise as only a mother and wife can do. We love to play games. We love to camp. We love to travel. As a family, we have explored much of the United states and parts of Mexico. Next, the world!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know for sure that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is Gods true church on the earth. In it, I find true happiness and direction. In Galatians 5:22-23, I am told that the fruits of the spirit are love, joy, peace, long suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance. When I feel these feelings, I know that it is the Spirit testifying of truth. I feel these feelings at all times when I hear, and read the doctrines of the church. I feel peace and assurance when I read the Book of Mormon. It is the word of God as is the Bible. I know that Jesus Christ is real. He is my older brother. He loves me enough to suffer for my sins and die that I might live. He made it possible for me to repent of my sins and be clean. I have a Father in heaven who hears my prayers and answers them. He cares about what I care about and desires to help me. He has made it possible for us to return to live with him. I know that families are the units designed to help us learn and grow on this earth and prepare us for eternal happiness. In temples, we are sealed together as families for eternity by those who have authority from God to do so. I am a Mormon because I love truth.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by projecting to the world that I am happy. I live my faith in my home by letting my children and husband know that I cherish them. It is through our love and service to one another that we learn to be more Christlike. Here we practice living the teachings of Christ. I live my faith by serving in the community. I am aware of the dangers facing our children in the world. Satan would have us believe that tolerance means acceptance of wickedness. I am an advocate of truth and goodness. I fight to protect the rights of our children to live in a world tolerant of values and a desire to follow Christ. I study political issues and candidates and vote for those who best protect my rights and values. I lead a youth group of teenage girls. We plan and carry out activities that are wholesome and fun as well as those that develop character and values. I live my faith by looking for opportunities to serve. First I serve in our home. I look for ways to make like better for my husband and children. I serve my neighbors and those who I am assigned to look after. I serve the community by being active in our schools and promoting patriotism, values and goodness. I best live my faith by projecting to the world that I am happy. I start in my home.
