Hi I'm Marie

I'm a mother, wife, sister, daughter, foster daughter, friend, gardener, runner, crossfitter and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a mother of 4 kids and have a husband who loves hunting and fishing. I'm a runner, and have branched out to the latest craze, CrossFit - I love it! I am basically a home maker, which I love, and am working on courage to go back to school. I also enjoy gardening, something I learned from my mother when I was young. I grew up in a very small town in a large family. I was the youngest and a few years gap between me and my next sibling. I think we were anything but your typical mormon family, but we were good people and did our best. My mother died when I was 10 years old. My father remarried. By the age of 15 the state took me into custody and gave me the most wonderful foster family I could have gotten. I remained in foster care until after I turned 18 and graduated high school. After I left my home state, it was a chance for me to start new. I took that opportunity and hold all my life lessons dear for that is what makes me who I am today. The more I look back the more I see the Savior's hand and miracles in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised a Mormon and was quite a rebellious teenager. There were times I did not live the standards of the church and have learned through my experiences how sweet and joyful life is when you have the gospel in your life and live it! I know my Savior is there and loves me, I show my love back by living the gospel and keeping the commandments. We are blessed to have the love of Jesus Christ in our lives and to be able to repent that we can live with him again. Everyone has that equal opportunity, he loves us all. I find strength in the gospel, even when I might not feel strong alone, the gospel gives me strength to carry on.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by keeping the commandments and teaching and helping my family to do the same. I try to be honest and happy and help others around me do the same. I help the leaders in my church that teach and serve the young children, by encouraging them and helping them where needed and occasionally teach the children myself. I serve in the Boy Scout program helping boys with merit badges in specific areas, I believe we need to do what we can to help our young people grow to be good, knowledgeable and charitable people.
