Hi I'm Parker Stohlton

I'm a proud American, a hard worker, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to play and watch football. I am bilingual (English and Español). I am currently serving a full-time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I am preaching the Gospel to the people of Northern Georgia. The church has blessed me in so many ways, and it can also bless your life!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church. My whole family is Mormon. There came a time, when I had to decide whether or not to be a Mormon or not. I prayed about it, and knew that I should follow the footsteps of Jesus Christ and get baptized. This gospel has blessed me in countless ways. The gospel has helped me realize who I am, and what I am doing here on this earth. Some may say that life is an anomaly, but I know that we have purpose here on earth. That purpose is for God to test us. I know that we can return to live with God again.

How I live my faith

I try and do my best to keep the commandments because I know it is the right thing to do, and I know that it is what God wants us to do. I also attend church every week, and read my scriptures and pray every night. I also try to be a friend to everyone, as Christ would. I do my best to look for opportunities to serve those around me. I am also biking around the streets of Georgia proclaiming the word of God!

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

Parker Stohlton
When I look outside each day, and see the marvels of nature, it helps me realize that there is a God. This life is no coincidence. I have personally felt my God's love for me. He has helped comfort me in times of stress, and he has placed people in my way that I needed to meet. God loves each and everyone of us. Show more Show less

Why don’t Mormons have paid clergy?

Parker Stohlton
Our Savior Jesus Christ did not receive money for the job he performed. His disciples also did not receive money for their callings. As this is Christ's Church, the pattern remains the same. We serve our brothers and sisters out of love, rather than for monetarial gains. Show more Show less
