Hi I'm Carol

I'm a native of Arizona. I'm a wife, mother, elementary school librarian and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married and have two sons. For many years I was an elementary school classroom teacher but now work as the school library media specialist, a job I really enjoy. In addition to work, I enjoy singing in a large community choir, playing word games, reading and participating in a book club with other ladies. I really enjoy traveling and would love to travel a little more.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and have always been an active member. Throughout my life, but especially as a young adult, I spent much time in prayer and study to know of the truthfulness of what I'd been taught all my life. I learned for myself that the gospel is true. I have learned by personal experience that when I keep God's commandments I am blessed and happy. Though trials come, I am blessed and supported through them by a loving Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ. A scripture from Proverbs 3:5-6, in the Old Testament, has long been a favorite. It reminds me that if I will put my trust in the Lord, He will direct my paths. That gives me faith and a sense of peace.

How I live my faith

I've had opportunities to serve in many ways in our church. Serving with the youth, children, women and men in various opportunities has helped me to grow in different ways. I currently serve as the choir director for our ward or congregational choir. This is a fun calling for me because I love singing and enjoy helping our choir prepare beautiful music for our church meetings. I also have the pleasure of being assigned to visit three ladies each month. I enjoy our associations and am able to offer support through normal every day trials and even cancer treatments and divorce for two of these friends.
