Hi I'm Connor Weaver

Avid Triathlete, BYU Cross Country and Track runner, outdoors enthusiast, Missionary in Chile Santiago West, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the oldest brother in my family of 4 children. I am a runner for Brigham Young University Track and Cross Country. I am a two time Olympic Distance National Champion in Triathlon, and a two time World Championship qualifier in Triathlon. I helped my High School win two State Championships in Cross Country, and was a 5A all-state runner my senior year in both track and cross country. I love to do anything outdoors especially snowboarding, wake boarding, water skiing, mountain biking, and camping. Despite all the activities I love to participate in, the gospel of Jesus Christ is the number one priority in my life. I am currently a missionary in the Chile Santiago West mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I choose to be, and not because my family makes me. I have grown to realize that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the only true church on this Earth. I believe this is truly Jesus Christ's gospel, and it is our only way to find true happiness. I believe that Joseph Smith restored this gospel, and I know President Thomas S. Monson is a true prophet in our world today. I believe in the Atonement, and know of its great power, and I use it in my life every day to try and be a better person. This gospel requires obedience and I believe that if we are obedient, we will be blessed. Everything in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints makes sense, both logically and spiritually. I know that if I live this gospel that I will be happy in this life and I will be happy in the life to come.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by praying to my Heavenly Father every morning and night, and by reading the scriptures daily. When I was living at home I always had family prayer and scripture study everyday, along with Family Home Evening every Monday night. I live my faith by going to the temple as often as I can, and by always making decisions that improve my relationship with Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father. I am currently living my faith everyday by being an instrument in the Lord's hand by serving as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
