Hi I'm Deanna

Hi I'm Deanna. I'm a wife, a registered nurse, a soon-to-be mother, an animal lover, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am originally from Utah but have lived in Arizona for the last 18 years. My husband is an Arizona native. We went to the same high school but didn’t meet until he had returned home from a mission in Chicago, IL and I had just graduated high school. We dated for a few years before we finally tied the knot 5 years ago. I have worked as a registered nurse for the past 3 years and love what I do. I meet so many interesting people and really enjoy it. We have 3 yorkies that we adore. I love to cook and am pretty good at it (thanks to the internet). I love animals and would hoard them if I could, I love to travel, I love board games, I love to read, I love to swim, and I love my family. We are so excited to meet our baby boy early next year and can’t wait to be parents!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church. I am the 5th out of 7 children. My parents have always taught me that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is true and I have had many special people in my life that have taught me by example that when we chose to follow our Savior, Jesus Christ, we are happier and are able to grow to become who we are meant to be. As long as I can remember, I have felt a close relationship with my Father in Heaven. I know that when I go to Him in prayer, I can feel the Holy Ghost teach me, guide me, and comfort me. Feeling my Heavenly Father’s love and guidance through the Holy Ghost has helped me through many challenges. It has shaped my testimony and thru prayer and study, I have felt in my heart that the Book of Mormon is true. We have a living prophet to lead and guide us. We can repent and feel the loving sacrifice made for us by our Savior, Jesus Christ, and be forgiven. I know that I am a daughter of Heavenly Father and he loves me. By living gospel principles and teachings, I have found my joy and happiness.

How I live my faith

I have learned that having faith is a daily process. Every day I make choices that reflect and help to increase my faith. Reading and studying the Book of Mormon daily, praying often, and trying to be a good example to those around me are all things that I strive to do daily, even when it may not be the easiest choice. I am currently the secretary in our ward primary and have had a calling in the primary for the past 4 years. I love kids and love to be around their sweet personalities. Primary may not help them become a robot or a unicorn as they say they hope to be when they grow up, but I know that it will help them become better followers of Christ and they will find out the plan that God has in store for them, leading them to a happy life :)
