Hi I'm Teresa

I was born in Michigan and raised in Indiana since I was 6 and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am not a people person. I am a very intraverted person. Talking to strangers is not easy for me. I have worked for the last 14 years as an Accounts Payable Clerk in the RV business. I have not attended college except for a couple of courses. I was resently married 5 years ago to my husband who was born in China. I had to wait 43 years to find him, but he was well worth the wait. We have not been able to have children, so our pets (two cats and a dog) are our children.

Why I am a Mormon

My mom married my stepdad when I was 2 1/2 years old. My stepdad was Mormon and so I started attending the LDS church when I was 3 and have been ever since. I was baptised when I was 8 years old and have over the years developed my own testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ that the church teaches. All the pieces fit together and make sense.

How I live my faith

I have over the years taught children as young as 3 years old to youth of 17 years old the gospel with the help of the church published curriculum. There is no better way to understand the gospel than at the most basic level. I have served in the women's program of the church several times and most recently as this last year. I have helped out with the pancake breakfasts, pizza sales, elephant ear sales at the fair, and snow cone and cotton candy sales at the race track as fund raisers for the youth to attend summer camp. I have helped organize and helped teach classes in the women's group which meets usually once a month. I have also learned from the other sisters many useful things during the past years of attending these classes.

What blessings can we receive through the gift of the Holy Ghost?

You can have direct revelation from the Lord through the Holy Ghost. I think of the Holy Ghost as the Lord's messenger. He is a direct link between the our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. Through him we can feel if we are doing well or not in our daily choices. When pray to our Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus Christ, we receive the answers through the Holy Ghost.
