Hi I'm Lee Ann

I'm a flutist, a teacher, a swing dancer, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I just graduated from Ball State University with a degree in music education with a minor in multicultural education. After my mission, I plan to be an elementary music teacher in an urban school. I have been playing flute for 14 years. I love shopping at thrift stores, petting dogs, and arranging music. I love spending time with my family of six girls. Two of my sisters are adopted and I love them so much.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints because I know that this gospel was restored through the Prophet Joseph Smith, who was called by God, and through the translation of the Book of Mormon. The book is a record of a group of people in Ancient America. The entire book is about our Savior, Jesus Christ and how he is our redeemer and our Savior. Without Him, we are not able to return to our Heavenly Father. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and the companion of the Bible because I read it, and studied it in my heart and prayed to know that it was true. Every time I read out of the Book of Mormon, I gain a stronger appreciation for the Savior's love for me and that he died for me. My knowledge of the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon solidifies every day as I find answers in it's pages to my everyday concerns. The fact that I am a member of Christ's church brings me much joy in my life because I know that I am following Christ and working towards being like Him so that I can return to live with my Father in heaven.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by following Christ's example and working towards being like Him. I strengthen my Faith everyday by reading the Book of Mormon and the Bible to lean about Christ's life and all that he did for all of us. I'm working on serving others and loving everyone around me. I know that Jesus served everyone around us and performed the biggest sacrifice of all for the whole world. By serving others, I am the Lord's hands. I also live my faith by striving to stay virtuous in all of my actions. By doing so, I feel happy and I know that I am doing what the Lord wants me to do. Everyday, I work to be patient and humble. I know that the Lord does not provide me to answers to all of my questions right away, and that I need to be willing to do whatever He asks of me. I know that when I do, He blesses me. Lastly, I strive to be obedient to the Lord by following his Commandments. I am not a perfect person, but when I work to achieve these attributes, I feel joy and I know that I am doing exactly what my Heavenly Father wants me to do.
