Hi I'm Seth

I love my wife, six kids, sports, and to be at home. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I work as a purchasing manager for a company that wholesales dried fruit, nuts, candy, and different snack foods. I get the privilige of sampling some amazing snacks as part of my job. I am indebted to my boss as he is the one that set me up on a blind date with my wife to be. We now have six wonderful kids together. My favorite thing to do is to spend time with my wife and children. Whether it be working in the yard with the kids by my side or throwing a ball to them in the yard, these are the moments that I really cherish. I also enjoy most sports, with my favorites being basketball and golf. I like to stay busy and be productive as I can each and every day. I enjoy gardening even though I have a lot to learn about it. The part I enjoy the most about it is harvest time when I can enjoy fresh veggies that taste so much better than the ones that you buy at the store. When I was nineteen, I got the privilage of learning Russian and teaching the wonderful Russian people about my beliefs for two years in St. Petersburg, Russia. I had so many wonderful experiences that have helped strengthen me as an indvidual in so many ways that I will forever be grateful for that opportunity to serve.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I've received answers to my sincere prayers to my Father in Heaven about the truthfulness of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. There is so much peace and happiness in my life that I attribute to the knowledge that I have of understanding the purpsose of life and that I can be with my family forever after this life.

How I live my faith

I strive to live my faith by trying to be more like the central figure of my faith, which is our Savior Jesus Christ. I study the attributes of Christ found in the Bible and the Book of Mormon and strive to develop them in my everyday life. Personal prayer to my Father in Heaven is a daily part of my life. I pray to express gratitude for all the blessings in my life. I pray to better understand the scriptures and for help to be a better husband and father. I pray for inspiration to help me in all important decisions in my life. I truly feel I have a personal relationship with my Father and Heaven. Prayer is also an integral part of our families' life as we pray daily together as a family. We do our very best each Sunday to keep the Sabbath Day holy by attending our church meetings, studying the scriptures, teaching our children, and spending time together as a family in meaningful ways. We also do as our church leaders have asked by setting aside every Monday evening for "Family Night". Our normal family night consists of a song, prayer, lesson, short game together, and it concludes with our kids favorite part...a treat! I also live my faith by serving in any responsibility that I am asked to fulfill by my Bishop. I am currently serving as a sunday school teacher with my wife to youth that are 14 and 15 years old. We are currently teaching them lessons from the New Testament. It has been a great joy to help these fine young men and women learn more about our Savior's life and help build their faith in him.
