Hi I'm Tyler

I'm a swimmer, I love to learn, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've been swimming since the end of 5th grade and even though it's sometimes hard, I still think it's a blast. I've been playing the piano since 2nd grade but I really got into music the beginning of high school and I've found a deeper meaning to what I play, along with learning how to sing and getting more interested in the songs I listen to. I love going to school and learning new things, particularly foreign languages. Currently, I'm studying Spanish, German, and French; I'm not fluent in any of them but I hope to be one day.

Why I am a Mormon

I've been a Mormon my whole life, my parents were both Mormon and I've always lived in a home where the gospel is taught. That doesn't mean I haven't asked questions about my beliefs and received spiritual promptings and a testimony that it's true. Even though I may not always be perfect, I know that my Savior understands and that he'll help me do better. When difficult things come my way, I find they're easier to handle because I'm a member of this church, and I know the purpose of this life and the love that Jesus Christ has for me personally.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by reading the words of the prophets in the scriptures and LDS magazines, praying to my Heavenly Father to come closer to Him and learn what He wants me to do, and doing what I learn and feel is the best. I try to be an example in everything I do and choose the path that will one day lead me back to my Heavenly Father.

Does The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints endorse political parties?

Every election season, we get a message from the First Presidency of the Church encouraging political activity, however, they never tell us how we're supposed to become active or what views and parties we're required to endorse. Show more Show less

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

The most basic principle in the LDS Church is that God is our Heavenly Father and we are all spirit brothers and sisters. Like normal siblings, we want our brothers and sisters to feel joy and peace. When we feel the warmth and joy that comes from knowing the truth and feeling the Holy Ghost, we will know our true relationship with the rest of mankind and want everyone to feel the goodness we have felt.
