Hi I'm Jessica

I'm a 2nd grade student teacher who loves to travel and speak Spanish . . . and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am one of six girls in my family who's names all start with a 'J'. I served a mission in Chile. I enjoy baking cupcakes and riding my longboard-- and I love Arizona winters!

Why I am a Mormon

I come from a family who's been Mormon for generations. My parents are Mormon, my grandparents are Mormon, my great-grandparents were Mormon and I could keep going, but you get the idea. Although it may seem like religion is tradition in my family, there came a time in my life when I had to know for myself if The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints was Christ's only true church. When I was a teenager, I diligently read The Book of Mormon, prayed, and went to church hoping for an answer--and the answer came. I knew that through the peace and happiness that I felt that God was answering my prayer. Because of those experiences, I know why I'm here on Earth and how important life really is!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being an example of Christ to those around me. I try my best to show the love and concern to my students that I know Christ has for each one of them. I also live my faith by going to church. Sunday is a day that's dedicated to worship Christ and rest from our weekday tasks like work and school. Going to church and living the teachings I learn there give me direction and strength that I can't find anywhere else.
