Hi I'm Schuyler Calder

Keep Your Chin Up

About Me

I am from Layton Utah. I grew up in the LDS Church. I have 2 Sisters, and 1 brother. My family is active in the church and have all been married in the temple. I am 19 Years old and I am currently serving in the Texas San Antonio Mission. I love hanging out with friends, chilling, listening to music, watching movies, and running outside. I love sports, especially soccer, running, and biking. I see the Love that my Father in Heaven has for me every single day. I love looking at stars, and being outside, especially the mountains because I see all of these great things and I know without a doubt that God exists.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because: 1) I see the Doctrine of our Church held within every book of scripture. No matter where I look I am amazed to see how much that the church knows. Even the smallest reference to the smallest bit of hidden truth, our church has an answer for it. Other churches don't have answers for many of the small pieces, ours does. Simply put, I'm a Mormon because it brings ANSWERS! 2) I prayed about it and it simply felt right. Confirmation from the Scriptures and Confirmation from the soul, what more can I ask for?

How I live my faith

I live my Faith through my own personal obedience, and Gospel Searching. Everyday I wake up and I immediately drop to my knees. Why? Because I know that if I start my day out with the Lord by my side, the whole day will be a good one. I also read my scriptures everyday because of the peace which it brings into my life. I know that when I read my scriptures I will be able to better decide my days activities and choices. I keep myself clean. I try to emulate Christ whenever possible. But, I never ever come even close to perfect. I miss days praying, or reading, I get anger, sad-I make mistakes, but, through repentance, I always know that I can do and be better.
