Hi I'm Mike Brownlee

I am an employee and a manager. I am a son, husband and father and yes i'm a Mormon.

About Me

I married with 4 children. I have been a member of this church my entire life. I currently work in Health Care in the insurance company. I have a Masters degree in Business management, and a BS in healthcare administration. I also am trained as a nurse. I enjoy spending time with my family, and I also enjoy doing things that make me more healthy. I run, play basketball and ride bicycles. I am not a pro at any of those things, but I do enjoy all of them. I am very proud of my children and enjoy sharing their happiness with them as they achieve there goals and as they are successful at what they are doing in their lives. As they start to get older and are doing some of the same things I did when I was their age, its so rewarding to see them growing and developing into successful young men and young women.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the church for many reason. The main reason is because I know that the church teaches me the right things to do to enable me to return to live with my father in heaven. I know that in the church we can receive the ordinances necessary for us to live with our father in heaven. I am also a member of the church because by being in the church and learning and doing the things that are taught there, is the way to true happiness. As a missionary for the church I saw the way the gospel can change lives if you allow it to. Seeing the way the gospel changed the lives of the people I served also changed my life. It helped me to see that if I live the teachings of the scriptures, my life will also change and I can find true everlasting happiness.

How I live my faith

The church teaches service through giving callings. Each callings gives you opportunities to help other people in different ways. You may be asked to serve in a capacity that allows you to help many, or you may be asked to serve just a few. In any situation though, you get to serve others and grow in love for them. The church also encourages you to serve others in the community be becoming involved with the community and in government. I have been involved in many service projects aimed at helping not only those of my own faith, but also those in the community. Several years ago as life altering floods came into this area, we had the opportunity as a group to go into the neighborhoods around and into peoples homes both of our faith and other faiths and help them in their time of need. It was a truly great opportunity to serve our fellow man. We also have the opportunity to serve those of our own faith and those of other faiths in serving at food pantries. Collecting organizing, cleaning and painting these locations helps fulfill immediate needs as well as long term needs in keeping the organizations up and running.
