Hi I'm Pam

I homeschool, I love to throw theme parties, and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I have five children that my husband and I have homeschooled because of two of them with dyslexia. I have a passion for education and want my kids to love to learn and become lifetime learners. Because of our decision to homeschool our kids, I have studied many subjects and learned how to teach different styles of learning. I love throwing theme parties. Our favorite tradition is to "try something new". I love reading, mysteries, playing the guitar and crafts. And I would really love to someday be a balloon handler in the Macy's Day Thanksgiving Parade.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a member family. I chose to be baptized at age 8. When I was an adult I re-evaluated my testimony and looked around for where I wanted to be in my life. I decided that I would give up everything if needed but that I would hang onto God. I stayed in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, not because of tradition, but because I have a testimony that this is God's restored church on the earth today. As I've put what I've been taught to the test by being obedient to God, I have been abundantly blessed.

How I live my faith

I have found that getting involved and serving others brings a lot of happiness. I have taught youth classes in the church from 2 year olds to teenagers. I've also helped run Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, and homeschool co-op classes in the community. Sharing what I have and what I can do with others has become a part of how I live.
