Hi I'm Sean

I snowshoe, I play ultimate Frisbee, I have a wonderful wife and three great children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

When I graduated from college many years ago I told myself I would never go into the aerospace business. But when I received a job offer to back to Southern California and be within half hour of my parents, I had to give it some consideration. After some pondering and lots of prayer I got my answer and we went to Southern California. Five years and three layoff notices later, I had an opportunity to move to the Pacific Northwest to work. Having never been there and knowing no one in the area, my wife and I gave the idea lots of thought, prayer and fasting. Our answer was clear, take the job and the Lord will provide. And provide for us He has! We have truly been blessed. We love living in the Pacific Northwest! Hiking, snowshoeing, mountain biking, rock climbing and ultimate Frisbee have become my passions. I thank the Lord that He has led my family to such a beautiful part of the world to call home.

Why I am a Mormon

My mother's side of the family goes all the way back to early days of the church. We have journals of my great - great grandmother detailing their life in Nauvoo. My father was converted in his early 20's after a friend asked if he had ever read the Book of Mormon. You see Dad had been playing church volleyball, basketball and baseball since his early teens and had met with scores of missionaries, but never was baptized. He promised he would give it a read. When he got to the end of the Book of Mormon, he knelt and prayed about its truthfulness. His answer was in the affirmative and in a short time later he was baptized. I am a member by choice. Some years back while serving as a missionary I had a feeling of tremendous discouragement come over me, that I wondered what was the point in continuing. In prayer, I expressed my feelings to my Father in Heaven. He blessed me right then with a feeling of such love that can only be described as a spiritual hug. Never would I say being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is easy, but it is sooo worth it.

How I live my faith

My family has recently rededicated ourselves to reading scripture and praying each night together. Sometimes the entire family is not present, but we do our best to accomplish this goal. I know that this brings us closer as a family and to our Father in Heaven.
