Hi I'm RaKay

I grew up in Price, Utah. I am a Registered Nurse. I am the mother of 6 and step mother to 3more. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Labor & Delivery Nurse and I love going to work most days. I love to watch these new little spirits come into the loving arms that are so excited to finally meet them. On my off days I do family history. Sometimes I fear that I spend more time with my "dead" relatives than with my "live" ones. I love these people that I have come to know. I have seen a little taste of some of their struggles and heart aches and I am so excited to meet them and ask the million questions I have for them about their lives. I also love to sew. I have several little granddaughters and love to make little dresses and fun things for them. I also have grandsons. I really love being a grandmother, it is amazing to me how much one can love (and worry about) these little people. I have a wonderful husband who is my best friend. I have struggled much but also been very blessed.

Why I am a Mormon

First, I am a Mormon because I was born into a mormon family and was taught the gospel from my childhood. My parents are very religious people who taught us the basic truths of the gospel. Second, I am a Mormon because I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ. I love my Savior and can't imagine how anyone can get through this life without him by there side to heal and comfort and lead and guide. I have struggled through the suicide of my first husband, and raising my children who did not stay true to the gospel. My heartaches have been many, but my Savior has been by my side through it all. I am a Mormon because I love my Savior and want to do what he wants me to do with my life and I know this is one of the things he wants for me.

How I live my faith

I try to remember to live like my Savior wants me too in all parts of my life. I try to treat others with love and respect. I try to never judge others for their poor decisions and to just love them through the heart aches they are experiencing. I keep a good loving relationship with all of my children even though they don't share my belief's. I get up early every day and read from the Bible or Book of Mormon and start my day with a prayer that I will be lead throughout the day to where my Savior would have me be. I have so far to go, but hopefully I am a better person than I was a year ago and 10 years ago and 20.

In whom should we have faith?

In our 4th article of faith it states: We believe the the first principles and ordinances of the gospel are: First, Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. . . . This is what our Church is all about. This is FIRST and foremost in our belief's. We need to have Faith that Jesus Christ is who he says he is and that he will do what he has said he will do!! Show more Show less
