Hi I'm Zac

I grew up in Oregon, I serve in the U.S Army, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hey! I am just a normal guy living a normal life. I grew up in Oregon, where I love to go camping, biking, basically anything outside. I love fishing and shooting shotguns with my Dad and brothers. I am the second oldest in my family, and I love them all so very much. I attend school at Brigham Young University and am enrolled in the Army Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC). I'm studying Portuguese and geospatial intelligence and would like to go to law school someday. I love reading, playing the piano, and public speaking.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of this church my whole life. My parents grew up in this church, as well as my grandparents, and my great-grandparents, and I think another generation after that. I was baptized when I was 8 years old by my Dad. I love this gospel, and since being back from a mission, I strive to help those I know to draw closer to Jesus Christ. I know that the Bible and the Book of Mormon is true. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God, and that we have a living prophet today. I know that through the gospel of Jesus Christ and His doctrine, we can return to the presence of our Heavenly Father and live with our families forever. If we exercise our faith in Him, repent of our sins, be baptized by one holding the true authority of God, receive the gift of the Holy Ghost by that same authority and endure to the end, we will be able to live with God, Jesus Christ, and our families forever in Heaven.

How I live my faith

I have had a few callings in my years as a member. I love serving. I had the opportunity to serve as the president of the sunday school in my ward at college. I served a volunteer full-time mission for the church in the Goiania, Brazil area in central Brazil. I have had so many experiences there and beyond becoming fluent in Portuguese, I learned a greater level of service and love for people. I loved it and wouldn't trade it for anything. Just being able to help real people with real problems and helping them come unto Christ helped me become a better person. I love the Brazilian people.
