Hi I'm Tyra

I believe life is amazing. I'm Mormon.

About Me

I have been married for 11 years to a great man, I have 3 exciting children whom I love with all my heart. I love being crafty, and trying new things. I love cooking, baking and feeding people. I love to find time to sew, anything, and wish we had a JoAnns here in town! Im passionate about politics and health. I love to learn about everything!

Why I am a Mormon

There came a time when I asked myself what I wanted for my family. I went to many churches and started praying. I knew that the Lord was there, and that he heard me, and that he gave me the peace in my heart I needed from Him every night when we would "talk". I got honest with myself, and opened my mind to every question about religion that I could ever have. I asked, all religions and got many answers. But it was the way I felt, the feelings I didnt have when sitting in the Baptists church, or in the Non Denominational chapel that really opened my eyes, something was missing. When I sat in on a Sacrament meeting in the LDS church, the church I had gone to 7 years previous because my parents told me too, I felt it, I felt the Love of my Heavenly Father, an invisible warmth that testified to me that I was where the Lord wanted me to be. I started earnestly reading the Book of Mormon for the first time in my life, praying before and after. I have never read anything so pure, and true, and shocking!! I was so shocked and impressed at what was written. At how many times prophets of old were held high and talked about, how the Prophets on the American continent learned and believed it the words of the prophets from the Bible. I had no idea. The Book of Mormon went so hand in hand with the Bible, so much so that I could not believe people didnt read it to see for themselves. Why was this? I know the Book of Mormon is true, and its the most life changing book I have ever read.

How I live my faith

I love living the gospel. Going from not living a clean life to living this way is amazing in its contrast. It has been the most freeing, door opening experience of my life. The Gospel of Jesus Christ and the relationship I have with my Heavenly Father has been the key to unlocking the door to my full potential. The Lord wants more for me than I would ever want for myself, he sees me as the strong person I will be some day, and takes me down the path to that person. A person I would never become on my own, I perfer my comfort zones. I love serving others and love the Relief Societys program. I have such a strong testimony in bringing relief to the families around me, and have found that the smallest of things make the biggest difference. Oh the relief a meal can bring a stressed family. The relief a load of folded laundry can bring an overwhelmed mother. There is so much need out there, and the blessings that have come to our family, my children, through them helping me help others. I truley belive in being an instrament in the Lords hands, and have found the most joy and satisfaction when I am serving others.
