Hi I'm Shannon

I'm a wife a mom and a grandma! I love the gospel and what it has brought to my life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife of 25 years to a wonderful man. I am a mom of 7 beautiful children, 5 girls and 2 boys. I am a grandma of 4 beautiful grandchildren, 1 girl and 3 boys. I am a home school mom. I am a convert to the church.

Why I am a Mormon

I have chosen the mormon faith for many reasons. As a child I had a rough upbringing. We either attended no church or bounced around from one church to the next. I was introduced to the church at the age of 16. At first I wasn’t sure what I thought but as I started living the gospel it changed my life in ways I never could have imagined. In the beginning I wasn’t sure I could live the standards of the church because they are much higher than any other religion but as I started making those changes I couldn’t believe the peace it brought to my life. Instead of feeling restricted like I thought I would I felt free from all of the hardships I had once lived in my life. I have now been in the church for 26 years and couldn’t imagine not having the gospel in my life. The Gospel is an amazing thing and I love that I have the opportunity to share what I know to be true and what it can do to change your life.

How I live my faith

One of the things I love most about living our faith is the importance on family and service. Everything we do is to strengthen our families and communities. There is nothing more important than making our families and communities as strong and united as possible. It is important to serve in our family unit to help one another and become closer to one another. It is equally important to serve our ward families to fellowship and uplift one another in times of need. We also feel it’s important to serve our communities around us because there are others all around us in need of love and support in many different ways. We should all always go out of our way to help one another to make this world a much easier place to live in. We also receive many blessings in service even if it’s as simple as just feeling good about something you have done for someone else. Just knowing you have maybe lightened someone else’s load.
