Hi I'm Ben

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a law student at Penn State, and a future father of our first little boy early next year. I lived in Taiwan for two years as a missionary for my church, where I proselyted full time the sacred and wonderful name of Jesus Christ. I studied Political Science and Chinese at Brigham Young University, where I met my sweet and awesome wife. I grew up in a large family with four brothers and one sister.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was 14 years old I read and prayed about the Book of Mormon and felt an immense and enlightening burning within my whole body. I was overcome with joy and knew, as I had been taught growing up, that a feeling like that can only come from Heavenly Father through the Holy Ghost. At that point I felt and knew that the church was true, that Joseph Smith restored Jesus Christ's true and full Gospel, and that Jesus Christ lived and died and was resurrected for me. My testimony means everything to me. I don't know where I would be without it. It is an anchor of happiness in my life. I know that my Savior lives, and that gives me the hope to push on through the hard times, and helps me remember the source of my joy in the good times.

How I live my faith

I help my church function by serving in the nursery with kids that are 18 months to 3 years old. I love helping to care for God's precious little children. I learn so much from them about simplicity, humility, and pure charity. This service helps those parents of these kids find time to enjoy church and feel the Spirit while they are there. I also help look after members of our ward individually and as families by bringing messages of Christ into their homes. I help do service with my ward around the community and do my best to be an example of a follower of Christ everyday. I strive to be kind, patient, clean in my language, dress, and appearance, and speak positively about life.
