Hi I'm Katie

I'm a wife & a mother of 4 children. I enjoy the creative and simple moments of life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and a stay at home mom of 4 children. I enjoy exercising wtih friends, including running and Zumba. I like planning & organizing events. I recently put together a rotating preschool with my son and his friends. I also have a ladies book club where that I enjoy socializing and discussing books. I love spending leisure time with my family: vacationing, riding bikes, baking treats, reading books, & cozying up to watch a movie. I really look forward to date nights wiht my husband & date night with my kids. On my own I like to decorate, blog, & be creative!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised by parents that taught me to love the Lord and to serve others. When I was baptized at 8 years old I knew I had made a promise to serve the Lord with all my heart as a member of His church. Though I make mistakes, I use the atonement of Jesus Christ to repent and do my best to follow his commandments. I have learned that peace in this life is felt when I am living by the principles of the gospel of Jesus Christ. This peace comes from the Holy Ghost, a member of the Godhead, that will help us feel and know the truth. The Holy Ghost has testified to me that the gospel of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is true & it is my priveledge to live by it's principles and teachings.

How I live my faith

I have been blessed to have callings working with the youth (young women ages 12-18) for many years and I love it! The youth have so much to offer the world and they are at such a crucial age to choose the path they will set for the rest of their life. They are vibrant spirits and I love teaching them lessons on Sundays, as well as spending time with them at activities that they assist in planning each Wednesday. I also really enjoy visiting teaching 3 other sisters in my ward and finding ways that I can serve them. Another sister and I go into their home once a month to visit with them and teach them a short lesson. I enjoy attending any church function, as I know if will uplift me and make me a better person.
