Hi I'm Melode

I love being a mother of 3 sons and 1 daughter. I love watching them play sports. I'm a Special Ed teacher and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was raised on a farm in Idaho and have been raising our four children on a farm in Washington State. I love being outside whether it is camping, working in my yard or watching my kids play sports. I also love doing things in the house like cooking, handicrafts, playing the piano and reading. In the past I have taught Special Education but now I am working part time at the school district evaluating Special Education students.

Why I am a Mormon

I love to read the Book of Mormon. The first time I read it was when I was a teenager. I wanted to know for myself if what I was reading was really true. I finished reading it at the beginning of the summer, just before I went to our church Young Women camp. I will never forget the warm over whelming feeling that came over me as I sat praying on top of a mountain, as I watched the magnificent beauty of the sun rising. A very strong feeling came to me and I felt the words come into my mind and heart “The Book of Mormon is True”. I started to cry and was so grateful for the testimony that I had just received. Every time I reread it I get that same assurance. I love being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I am who I am today because I have a testimony that this is the true church and that Jesus Christ is our Savior and Redeemer. I am grateful for the many blessings I have received by being a member.

How I live my faith

I love serving other people. There are so many good things we can do in this world for others. I try to do my best to help other people in our church and community. I have worked with the youth for many years. I love the youth of our church, they are amazing. I love being a mom and teaching and serving my children. I also love being a "Missionary Mom". My third son is now serving his mission. It brings me great joy to know he is happy serving the Lord by teaching others and bringing them to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
