Hi I'm Aaron

I grew up in Pittvile,CA. I am married to my best friend. I am a father of six awsome children. I love sports. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am first a father and husband. I love spending time with my family. Last year we moved to Arizona from the Northwest. My company moved us here. I am a sales manager and enjoy building relationships. I have six great kids that have have done so well with our move to Arizona. I am so proud of the way they have adapted and have jumped in with both feet and made the most of a new opportunity. We are a basketball loving family. I have coached my children for 12 years. This gives me some great time with them and I enjoy working with youth in the community as well. We love the outdoors and enjoy going on family hikes and finding new adventures. I enjoy participating in sports and watching sports. College basketball and football are my favorites, I am so thankful for recording technology that allows me to watch games on my time and in a shorter time, with six kids and all the activities we are involved in I would never see a game! Coaching my kids and watching them play other sports is my favorite pastime.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because I found out for myself that the full gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored to the earth. I was born into the church and was baptized when I was eight years old. I was converted to the church prior to my 19th birthday. I grew up in an area that didn't have many Mormons, there were only a few in our entire high school. None of my friends were LDS or even went to any church. I wasn't always the best example to them in regards to living the gospel standards. I remember after high school getting more serious about gaining a testimony of the church and Jesus Christ. I always knew in my heart that the principles that my parents had taught me were good and brought happiness to my life when I followed them. I made a decision to really read the Book of Mormon and put it to the test that Moroni offers in Moroni Chapter 10:3-5. I came to know for myself that the Book of Mormon was truly a testament of Jesus Christ and that it held the fulness of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. I chose to serve a two year mission for the church and was blessed to serve in upstate New York. I had the experience of walking in the footsteps of the Prophet Joseph Smith and the blessing of praying in the same grove of trees that God the Father and his son Jesus Christ appeared to the boy Joseph. I know with all of my heart that this great event happened and the heavens were opened and Joseph Smith was called upon to bring about this great work. Knowing where I cam from and why i am here and where I am going is truly a blessing in my life. Knowing that my family will be together eternally is a sacred gift. We have a living Prophet, the Priesthood of God has been restored to the earth to bless the lives of his children. We have temples that bind us together forever. Jesus Christ atoned for my sins and yours, he lives and he loves each one of us, this I know to be true. I love being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ!

How I live my faith

I think living our faith is truly a great responsibility that I do not always succeed at. First it starts with being good neighbors and active members of the community. We try to reach out to our neighbors and help in any way that we can. I married a wonderful baker and many of our neighbors have been blessed with hot bread or homemade treats. I love working with the youth. I truly enjoy the time I am able to spend with them. In the church we all have the opportunity to serve others by receiving and accepting callings within our congregation. I have been blessed over the years to be asked to serve with the great youth. Many of my greatest memories have come from being with the boys hiking, camping, learning, serving. In the northwest while serving with the 16 to 18 year old boys we made a point of once a quarter to get cultured by attending a play or a symphony. We also focused on opportunities to serve. One of my favorite service opportunities that we did was to take these teenage boys to the Hospice House and walk from room to room and sing hymns to those that were soon to return to thier Heavenly Father's presence, what a great blessing this was for us and those boys. I am currently serving as scoutmaster for the boy scout troop. Working with the 12-14 year old boys mostly. They keep me on my toes and feeling young at heart. I love being with them and feel blessed to have the opportunity to serve them. A religion that does not require much in the way of service or sacrifice truly cannot be follwing the gospel of Jesus Christ. I work each day to live my faith in the way I interact with friends and strangers, I work each day to live my faith in the way I treat my wife and children. I am glad to be veiwed as different by other's for not going to rated R movies or going out for a beer with the guys after work or for not using profanity. We are engaged in a marvelous work, our families are our greatest achievements.
