Hi I'm Sheri

I am a mom to two lovely, active boys and am married to the love of my life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy spending time with my family, gardening, learning about other cultures, and learning new languages. I hope to return to school to pursue a degree in Arabic.

Why I am a Mormon

My grandparents were faithful members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and brought me to church as a child. I was baptized when I turned 8, then my mother took me to other churches. I attended Baptist, Methodist, and Lutheran churches, and went to Catholic school. When I turned 14 and moved in with my grandma, a friend told me she was LDS and offered to bring me to church. I started attending church with her and then seminary and have not regretted returning to activity since. The Gospel brings me so much peace and it is truly "Good News" to know of Heavenly Father's love for us. It is such a blessing to have modern day revelation through a prophet that is pertinent to the day in which we live.

How I live my faith

I have found that the greatest joy can be felt through serving others and have found the greatest joy in serving as a Visiting Teacher. I love learning about others' lives and trying to find ways of serving them. I have also been blessed to serve as a Cub Scout Den Leader. I also look forward to volunteering in my community through Hopelink and Seattle Tilth- a community garden that donates all its proceeds to the homeless shelter.
