Hi I'm Mykette

I'm a mom. I'm a neighbor. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to read and exercise. I love to play the piano, the organ and I love to sing. I love to connect with the people around me. I LOVE being a mom and a wife. I love to chat with my friends and learn new things. I love going to new places and I'd love to learn a new language!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that it is through Christ and His Atonement for us that we can live with our families for eternity. When I was eleven years old, my mother passed away from breast cancer. This gospel has taught me that I can and will see her again. Our Father in Heaven loves us so much that He gave his Only Begotten Son so that we may learn through His example what things are necessary for us to dwell with our Father again. The Church teaches the true "Plan of Happiness" that will lead to eternal life with our loved ones. Just as we as earthly parents want our children to be happy, our Heavenly Father wants eternal happiness for ALL of His children. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints proclaims the true message of how to live the happiest life, both here and in the life to come.

How I live my faith

I am privileged to get to play the organ each week in our Sacrament Meeting. I also get to play the piano for the Primary children so that they may learn the sweet songs in our Children's Songbook. The music of the Church goes hand in hand with the things that are said in inviting The Spirit to be attendance at our meetings. I also have the privilege of being a visiting teacher. I get to, along with a specially-assigned companion sister, go and visit three sisters in our Ward. We check on each other and ask if there is anything we can do for one another. It's a wonderful way for me to get to know sisters that I might not otherwise have a chance to interact with. I feel blessed to be able to serve the Lord in these ways.
