Hi I'm John

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a happy and hard-working Mormon family. I had a great experience going to church as a young boy with other youth from my neighborhood. When I was 19 I left home and moved to Santiago, Chile to serve as a full time missionary. It was an amazing experience full of ups and downs. In the end I came home convinced that people who live the gospel of Jesus Christ are happier than those who do not. I've been a husband for over 4 years and a college student for just as long.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a very fact-based and results-oriented person. My testimony is that living the Gospel of Jesus Christ brings results. I'm a happy person when I follow the commandments. When I disobey God I distance myself from him and his blessings. I feel that I have so much potential and countless options when I live within the bounds the Lord has set. I am free from vices. I know where I came from and I know where I can end up if I am faithful. I know God hasn't change over the last several thousand years and that he continues to talk to us through sacred writings and his chosen servants, the Prophets. I'm a Mormon because it makes me happy - plain and simple.

How I live my faith

I currently work with the Young Men (ages 14-18) of my congregation. I meet with my young men on Sundays and Wednesday evenings I'm try to be a good example for the boys. I teach them that the sooner they learn how to recognize the influence of God in their lives the better. I stress that God is anxious to help us succeed in all aspects of our lives, we just have to let him help.
