Hi I'm Glade

I'm retired, volunteer on behalf of transcients and homeless in our community, and I fly radio contolled vehicles. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am retired having spent 38 years with a major electronics company in manufacturing and am happily married for over 51 years. My retirement dream was to serve a mission with my wife and build a full size kit airplane. We served a mission in Baltimore, Maryland, but thought better of building the airplane. Instead I've done furniture building and have become a radio control pilot. I am currently enjoying the challenges of building and flying multi rotor copters. We love our children and grandchildren and are with them at every opportunity.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a son of Mormon parents. I grew up where there were very few other Mormons. When I left home for additional education I had to decide for myself whether I would practice the faith. With great gratitude I can say I chose to do my best at living the principles of the Church and participating fully in it. My grandchildren are now growing up in homes where the teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are foremost in their everyday lives. What could be more important for them in these tumultuous times than to know that God lives, He loves them and sent Jesus Christ, his Son, to show them how to return to his presence. Even though I grew up in the Church I had to do the same things others have to do to know for ones self the truthfulness of the Church. That is read the Book of Mormon and pray and ask God if it is true. I did, it is. God lives and Jesus is the Christ. What a marvelous blessing that each and everyone of us can have a witness of the Holy Ghost and do not have to rely on the wisdom of man for the most important question we could ask God.

How I live my faith

I currently staff an office of the Church one day a week to assist the homeless and transients in our community as a volunteer. I love the work in the Temples of the Church. I also do Family History work seeking out ancestors so they too can be blessed by the redeeming sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
