Hi I'm Adam

I'm a husband and father of six children. I'm a deputy Sheriff. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Utah with a wonderful family. My father and mother liked to take our family into the outdoors and traveling. I grew up learning to enjoy the outdoors. I served a mission for my church in Southern California. After my mission I went to college and studied criminal justice. In college I met my wife who was from Indiana. After we were married and graduated from college we moved East to be closer to her family. We finally settled in Indiana where I have been enjoying a career in law-enforcment. We now have six children. Raising a big family is certainly a challenge in this world today, but there are also wonderful blessinsg with it too.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up surrounded by people who were members of the Mormon church. I respected my parents teachings, but knew at some point I would need to eventually find out for myself if what I had been taught was right. When I decided to serve a mission for my church I had the opportunity to learn for myself if it was right. I immersed myself in studying the teachings of the church and spent a lot of time praying to find answers. I truly believe that those answers came from a loving Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

Over the years I have been able to serve my church in many different capacities. I served a full-time mission for the church in Southern California for two years. I have had the opportunity to serve in various leadership positions within local church areas. Currently I am working with the youth, specifically the young men, in our local area.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Adam
My faith in this church and teachings has brought a lot of joy and peace into my life. Missionary service is the opportunity to try and share that joy and peace with others. If I did not try to do so I would be withholding those blessings from those around me that are my brothers and sisters. Missionary service is a selfless act of sharing and should be considered a duty of anyone who desires to be a disciple of the Savior. Show more Show less
