Hi I'm Steele Andrews

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a single guy, never married. I have my own small business and attend a small Branch (congregation) of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. My business encourages healthy travel, and other than that, I'm a reader and work a lot. I like to try to eat right and attempt to be healthy.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I want and need to believe that life has meaning. I've never found anything else with the depth of answers as I have found through the teachings of the gospel and through the general authorities of the Church. It only seems logical that I was created by a creator. I am not an accident, and this creator loves me and has prepared a way for me to learn and grow and have eternal joy and peace. I believe this creator talks to His creation as is the pattern; through living prophets. I have listened to and read from the teachings of the prophets for over 30 years. As I have always sought for good, I can safely say that this is the one place that has helped me to maintain hope and confidence in all things good and true - more so than anything else I've ever known.

How I live my faith

I suppose my focus is on the subject of "love". As this is not a strong point for me, I assume it will remain a focus for some time. I figure that when I have this "love of Christ", that living my faith will be more organic and natural. Until then, I welcome the chance to serve others. I like to visit members of the Church that for one reason or another do not come as often. I like to visit them with the missionaries. I also have taught various classes in Sunday School; I suppose I have taught 9 of the last 10 years. I help organized volunteer efforts to keep our Church building clean and pitch in on a number of other things. Generally I try to do the best I can in all that I do; in my community and with my business.

What is the Book of Mormon?

Steele Andrews
Similar to the Bible, the Book of Mormon is a prophetic, spiritual history of a people that lived on the American continent from about 600 b.c. till 400 a.d. The Book of Mormon is unique as it is another record supporting the teachings found in the Bible. While I feel I have only scratched the surface of all the teachings found in this book, I've read it over 20 times and I've studied it for 30 years - typically as a companion to my study of the Bible. I feel confident that the God of one is likewise the God of the other. I am equally confident in the divinity of this book as I am in the Bible. Everyday that I read from the Book of Mormon, even if only a few pages, is a better day. Show more Show less
