Hi I'm Vicki

I'm a Mormon. I am a wife, a mother and an artist. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a middle-aged woman living in the beautiful Northwest. I have raised six children and my husband has raised five. With eleven children between us and a growing number of grandchildren, there is always something exciting happening. As an empty-nester, I now have time to pursue a deep love of mine, painting and illustrating. I have illustrated for a number of years in the children's educational field, and have some time to develop another love of mine- oil painting.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family that was "Mormon". My own deep convictions of the truthfulness of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints started when I was fourteen years old. I accepted an invitation to read the Book of Mormon-the "other" Testament of Jesus Christ. I knew it was true. Those convictions have only grown stronger and deeper over the years, as I have added to my faith knowledge, experience and a deeper understanding of God's ways and His expectations. I love the Lord and his gospel. I know he loves all mankind.

How I live my faith

I currently serve in the women's organization for my local church unit, the Mays Pond ward. It gives me an opportunity to serve and strengthen others and in turn be served and strengthened by them. I have had many opportunities over the years to teach classes to youth, adults and children. It is one of the geniuses of our church. As I have studied and prepared to teach the gospel to others, I have learned it for myself.
