Hi I'm Jordan

I love sports. I'm a Physical Therapist. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the sixth of eight children growing up in Ohio. I have five brothers and we all play sports. We could be very competitive as kids but had a good time. I went to Idaho for college and got a Bachelor of Health Science degree. I wanted to become a Physical Therapist and when looking for schools in the winter in Idaho climate became important. When I applied to my school in Florida it was actually 100* warmer there than in Idaho. I earned a dual degree in Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy. I married my college sweetheart and we have two little girls and and we are also raising our nephew. We enjoy cooking out and spending time as a family.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because of the peace that I feel when I follow the Gospel of Jesus Christ. My parents joined the Church before I was born and I was raised in the Church. I went to church because my parents told me to. It was not until I was 17 years old that I began to receive my own testimony. When I went off to college I decided that I wanted to know if this was the true Church of Jesus Christ. I read the Book of Mormon cover to cover and got on my knees and asked the Lord to know if this was a true book and if this was really the Church of Jesus Christ. I can remember like yesterday the way that I felt. I have never been so sure of anything my entire life, that this is the true Church of Jesus Christ. I embrace having a living Prophet and modern day revelation directly from my Heavenly Father. I know that the Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ. The blessings available through the Church brings families together for the eternities.

How I live my faith

I live my Faith everyday by trying to become more like my Savior. I enjoy helping helping others. I have served in the Church in many ways including teaching the youth, organizing activities, missionary work, and more. I love that there is no paid ministry and that everyone has a responsibility and are working together towards a common goal.

What do Mormons believe about the nature of God?

Knowing the nature of God is the first principal of the Gospel. My knowledge of God comes from Joseph Smith's first vision. From this, we know that God has a body just like we do. We also know that Jesus Christ is the son of God and the two are distinct beings. This knowledge is the foundation of my faith. I know that I am a spirit child of Heavenly Father and as such have heavenly potential. Show more Show less
