Hi I'm Ashley Fastle

I love being outside. I secretly want to be an elephant trainer. I'm a missionary and I'm a mormon.

About Me

I was adopted by relatives when I was 9 months old.My family is the greatest thing that has ever happened to me. When I was a freshmen in college, I developed a blood clot and nearly lost my life. Around 6 months later, I woke up with the most extreme pain that I have ever felt. I was shortly diagnosed with lupus. After reading many articles about lupus, I came up on an article that said vegan could help reduce lupus, and I went with it and I have never felt better. I am going to school in a small town in Thatcher, Arizona. I want to travel the world. I hope to one day go to Africa and start a charity there. I am serving as a full time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. I am laboring in the Utah Salt Lake City South Mission. I was assigned to speak Spanish. Also, I will spend a part of my mission at the Park City Family Tree Center. I am so thankful for the opportunity to to serve my Heavenly Father and help the people of this earth. My biggest passion in life is being outdoors, I love being surrounded by the creations that God made for this people of this Earth. I love animals and I am a huge activist for the treatment of kindness towards them.

Why I am a Mormon

Peace. I have such peace in my life. Knowing that the Lord has a plan for me, has helped me overcome trials. When I first heard of my diagnoses of Lupus, I prayed to my Father in heaven that he would guide in the direction that I needed to go. It's hard having faith at time, but I know that the Lord loves me more than I will ever understand and that his plan for me is beautiful and I just need to trust him.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending church weekly, partaking of the sacrament, and staying worthy. I abstain from drinking, having pre-marital sex, and drinking alcohol and participating in activites that would drive away the Spirit. Another way that I live my faith is by serving those around me. This is one of the reasons I have chose to serve a mission for my Church.

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

Ashley Fastle
I think people would be surprise by how diverse members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints are! We all have diffrent passions and qualties that make us diffrent and unique in this crazy world. Even though we are unique, we all have the same "standards" on how we have chosen to live our lives. We abstain from cursing, having pre-marital sex, drinking alcohol and participating in activities that would drive away the Spirit. As Latter-Day Saints, we are always striving to become more like the Savior, Jesus Christ and to return to the presence of God. Show more Show less
