Hi I'm Jessica

I'm an instructional designer. I love to hang out with my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a graduate student at BYU. Right now I work as an instructional designer. I love to take photographs, make videos, record memories and hang out with my family and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are members of the church and I grew up going to church each Sunday. But there was a time in my life that I decided that I couldn't just keep living like that because my parents taught me to. I decided to read the Book of Mormon and ask God if it was true. I decided that if He helped me know it was, I would continue to be a Mormon. But if not, that I would look for the truth somewhere else. I read the Book of Mormon in less than a month, praying each day that the Lord would help me know that it was really His word. One day I was reading about how Christ came to the Americas to visit the people that lived here. All of the sudden I had a beautiful and strong feeling in my heart and something whispered to my heart that it was true, that Christ truly spoke to those people. I knew in that moment that this was God's church and that I would find the most happiness if I stayed true to it.

How I live my faith

I try every day to take time out for God. I love to do things for other people and give service. One of my favorite things to do at church is teach classes.

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

Jessica
Mormon women are incredible! As a woman, I've thought a lot about my role in God's Kingdom. Show more Show less

What is faith?

Jessica
Faith can sometimes be hard to describe and there are different types of faith. For me, the most important kind of faith is a firm belief in Jesus Christ. It's an assurance that even though I mess up sometimes, I can be forgiven when I believe that Christ can fix my mistakes. Show more Show less
