Hi I'm Ryan

I love laughing and throwing dodge-balls at my friends. I'm always game for some friendly competition. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm born and raised in southern California, and I love the ocean. Skating and surfing are my thing, whether or not I'm very successful. Water-polo is my sport, but I love basketball and dodge-ball, and I'm game to play anything my friends are. I love the outdoors, hiking, rock-climbing, exploring. I am always up for a challenge, and I love learning to do new things. I play guitar and some ukelele and drums, and I try to learn piano. I would love to be a professional musician, but the odds aren't in my favor, so I'm studying to be a doctor instead. I love life, and that's pretty much it.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I decided to take the challenge given to us near the end of the Book of Mormon. In Moroni 10:3-5, we are promised that if we read, study, and pray about the Book of Mormon that God will testify to us that the Book is true. If the Book is true, it proves that Jesus is the Christ, and that Joseph Smith was called by God as a Prophet to translate it. That means that God still has a prophet on the Earth, and "that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the Lord's kingdom once again established on the Earth" (Intro to Book of Mormon). As I read and as I prayed, God answered me, and told me it was true, and since then I have been able to feel the cleansing powers of Jesus Christ's Atonement for us in every aspect of my life, and there is no way I could ever deny these things. The Book of Mormon is true, and Jesus Christ died so that we could be forgiven, and live again with our Father in Heaven. This answer came at a pivotal point in my life, and my life has been changed forever, and I will forever love my Savior because of it.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in everything I do. I do my best to live as my Savior would have me. I try to apply the teachings of the Gospel of Christ in all areas of my life, and my scriptures are my most valuable possession. I'm currently serving as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Oregon until 2014, and do my best to build the faith of those around me, and help everyone I meet to strengthen their relationship with Jesus Christ. I serve, I clean, I teach, I sing, I lift things, share advice, and encourage anyone who may need it. I do my best to be a friend to everyone, offer a helping hand, answer questions and help people recognize that they are important. The key word is LOVE. So I try and spread it.
