Hi I'm Brittany

I am a daughter, sister, and a friend. I love learning. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Texas. I am super blessed to have an amazing family, in which I am the second oldest kid. I am a student at Brigham Young University. My major is Family Life with an emphasis in Human Development. I love to try new activities and meet new people.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church, but I hadn't really questioned my faith in the church till right before my 8th grade year. At this time I had decided to know for myself if this was the true church. I came across the words of Alma one day where he said "Behold, I say unto you they are made known unto me by the Holy Spirit of God. Behold, I have fasted and prayed many days that I might know these things of myself. And now I do know of myself that they are true; for the Lord God hath made them manifest unto me by his Holy Spirit; and this is the spirit of revelation which is in me." (Alma 5:46) From this I have used Alma's words of fasting and prayer to understand the word of God as I have challenged myself to know for myself. I continue to be a member of this church because of the faith that I have developed. My faith in my Heavenly Father is forever growing and has made me a better person. A person that I have wanted to become. A person that is growing, changing, and learning.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by always trying to be a better person. I believe in a Father in Heaven that sent us to earth learn and grow. In my life I have tried to challenge myself and learn things about my faith, myself, and the world around me. A part of this increasing knowledge has been building a testimony in Heavenly Father's gospel. I have come to know that Heavenly Father and His son, Jesus Christ, love me. I know that the Book of Mormon is the words from Heavenly Father given to ancient prophets. I know that we have prophets in this latter days. Starting with Joseph Smith who with divine inspiration was able to restore Christ's church and translate the bible today. Our prophet today, Thomas S. Monson, is called of God. By coming to know these truths I have been able to live my faith through the way I treat others and how I carry myself. I see my faith through how I treat my studies and the opportunities around me. I am grateful for my faith in my life.

Who are the Mormons?

Brittany
The term Mormons refer to the members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Mormons can be anyone, from any walk of life, but we all believe in Jesus Christ, the Bible, the Book of Mormon, modern revelation and we try to run our church as close to the church established by Jesus Christ in the Bible. We are called Mormons, because of our belief in the Book of Mormon Show more Show less
